ANANDA - DIVINE BLISS

Bliss is a supersensuous feeling. It is an experience which one enjoys when one is stabilized in the original nature of the self and has linked oneself with God,the Eternal principle of Truth.

Everyone of us want to attain peace, a state where there is no turn back and want to taste the nectar of Absolute Love.
Bliss (ANANDA) means perpetual happiness. Ananda is Absolute Happiness, the complete cessation of all pain and suffering. MOKSHA (Liberation) another name is for ANANDA, because Moksha means the complete freedom from Ignorance, which is the source of all pain and suffering.

We keep looking for happiness in a number of places, but never find it in the ultimate journey of life.To find absolute happiness or peace, we have to turn to the Vedas. The Vedas constitute the intuitive Wisdom of Consciousness. This wisdom reveals the Path of Truth which leads to permanent happiness (ANANDA).

The common expression "Divine Bliss" contains two sacred words. Divine and Bliss
Divine means : Made by God, God like with attributes of God, Pure in the highest absolute meaning of possible purity. It means we are blessed in all ways.

* God is supporting you in your work, action, contributions to mankind.
* God will coordinate all your efforts towards your goal, willing to support your efforts.

God will arrange for all the necessary help, inspire those willing to accept God's inspiration for creating and changing for the better towards the highest goal, all for the benefit of his own creation. A Practical approach to explain divine bliss - is a more practical definition and explanation of the true innermost meaning and the effect of Divine Bliss or blessed by God may be a comparison with a swimmer who swims along the direction of the breeze.

It is like a strong wind which pushes from behind and supports our efforts in reaching the goal. If we come across high waves, strong winds blowing either sideways or from the front which may act against our efforts and will destabilize and makes our swimming difficult.
God's grace is seen as a blessing at the time of need, a support when required to achieve most in the right aspect. It is an unseen hand of protection, a call to the cry of the soul.
God's or Divine bliss makes one receive the most loving lessons of life for a successful and pleasant completion of one's work for the Almighty, the most loving path to home for God - an eternal home - for the most successful job one does for the service of mankind and all his creation on this mother Earth.

Moksha (Liberation) is consciousness or Mahachetana is also called as SATCHIDANANDA. This is GOD - the ever-existing, immortal, ever-conscious, ever-blissful supreme Being (Supreme Self). The Vedas emanate from Supreme Consciousness. We realize the meaning of the Vedas when we are close to the supreme Self. The closest thing to the supreme Self is our own ATMAN, our own consciousness. Hence, establishing oneself in the knowledge of Self and the Divine we can attain Satchidananda. The 'divine' is that which is beyond both mind and matter, and that is the Self and Supreme Self.

It is here when we drop the assumption that we are the body alone and raise above our ego, thus established in our own soul (Atman), we will be able to realize the supreme self in ourselves and others too equally, only then we will be able to make contact with others at the soul-conscious level which will lead us to attain ANANDA (True Happiness).

We all know that Happiness is a state of mind too but it is periodic in nature, but the happiness which is derived from the the path of truth is Perpetual one. When our mind is established in the TRUTH (the essence of Bliss - which is got from knowledge of the self) we arrive at peace.
As long as our mind is plagued with unhappiness, annoyance, anger, boredom, greed, malice and restlessness all because we are egoistic and want to satisfy ourselves by all the worldly things which may come across and look for the same from the people around in this world either in the form of praise, fame, power,or passion etc., and think the unreal to be the real and long for the same we will always be in a dilemma and will never attain peace.

Hence, we have to practice and keep affirming that our nature is divine, we are souls only then we attain glimpses into the nature of reality and experience the nectar called Truth.
Once we have realized the Truth and know who we are then truth is nothing but God, we realize our eternal nature.

Hence it is always said God is love, the eternal Truth, and the immortal Self and as human beings our cause of birth is to realize the divinity in Man which is the goal of human birth.
